Tie a fly, or something.
Hard water anglers are patiently waiting, and it looks like it will be a bit of a wait yet. We had some warmer weather and rain that deteriorated the ice that was forming. We are headed for freezing weather over the weekend. Walleye and crappie fishing is usually very good shortly after the lake freezes over and temperatures stabilize.
Some of the ski and snowshoe trails had been getting some use, but trail conditions have also deteriorated.
It looks like a good weekend to tie a fly or two. Or, check over the snowmobile, wax the ski's or put new line on the reels.
There are some fun events coming up in December. We update the Calendar of Events as often as necessary, check there for details on local events.
